As BJP crosses 100 mark, party supporters confident of Narendra Modi and Vasundhara Raje's win in the state have been seen rejoicing on Sunday. As the counting is still underway, the figures have left the party confident of winning Rajasthan assembly elections.

On Sunday, BJP workers reached party headquarters with firecrackers to celebrate what to them looks like BJP's win already. At the moment, BJP leading in 125 seats, Congress in 26, National People’s Party in 3, BSP in 3 and others in 10.

"It is evident that Rajasthan has been with BJP. Minority votes, youth votes, women votes all gave gone to BJP this time," said a supporter.

The counting of votes for the Rajasthan Assembly polls began around 8 am on Sunday in 37 centres amid unprecedented security cover in the 33 districts of the state.

Out of 4.08 crores electors 75.20 per cent exercised their franchises to elect 199 MLAs in the house of 200 members. Though exit polls after the elections predicted a near rout for Congress and a good showing for BJP, Gehlot had appeared confident of a comfortable majority owing to the several flagship popular schemes during his five-year term in office. He was also sure of winning against BJP's Rajput candidate Shambhu Singh Khetasar from home turf of Sardarpur in Jodhpur district.

However, the exit polls and the counting results so far seem to be going BJP's way. Chief Ministerial candidate Vasundhara Raje was also seen praying in a temple ahead of the declaration of final results. She has been sure of having an edge over Congress' woman NSUI leader and former MLA Meenakshi Chandrawat from the Jhalarapatan seat in Hadauti region.

Congress' last minute schemes like free medicine for all doesn't seem to have win the hearts of the people in the state.

"In Rajasthan, our welfare schemes took time to penetrate, maybe that is why we are losing out. But, lets wait for the final results," said Congress leader Raj Babbar.

Rajasthan is witnessing a keen fight between Congress led by Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot and BJP's Vasundhara Raje with both the parties facing each other in all the 200 constituencies.

As many as 2,087 candidates are in the fray in the desert state. There were 166 women candidates and one eunuch candidate in the fray. While Congress and BJP have fielded 200 candidates each, the BSP (195), CPI(M)(38), CPI (23), NCP (16), other parties (666) and Independents (758) including the Churu Assembly constituency.
