CHENNAI: After challenging the monopoly of Maran bro-thers in the Cable TV market in the other parts of the State by launching the Arasu Cable TV Corporation Limited (TACTV), the AIADMK government is all set to replicate the same in Chennai also where Sun Cable Vision (SCV) is a major player. TACTV on Tuesday proposed to expand its sevices to Chennai, which is under Conditional Access System.The TACTV has called for details such as equipment owned by MSOs/LCOs, set-top boxes provided by them to the subscribers etc, to examine the possibility for expanding their Cable TV services. MSOs/LCOs are requested to furnish the details online on www.arasucable.com between November 24 and December 23. Since these details are requested for a study, no enrollment fee will be collected now. Enrollment fee details will be announced only when Chennai operations commence.
