PUDUCHERRY: The silence of the ruling All India NR Congress (AINRC) on the Koodankulam nuclear power plant was flayed by the Pradesh Congress Committee on Tuesday.Ex-MLA and PCC Vice President V Balaji said that the ruling government had behaved as if Puducherry was in no way concerned with Koodankulam, when in fact the situation was that Puducherry would also get 67 MW power when it went operational. Already the UT is facing power shortage, though the government is denying it. Industries are facing the brunt of power. The additional power will ease the situation.PCC President A V Subramanian welcomed the TN government’s decision to go ahead with the Koodankulam Nuclear Power project  and said it would bring relief to the power starved state.  Puducherry will also benefit from it. While appreciating the efforts taken by Union Minister of State for PMO V Narayanasamy, he assured that Narayanasamy would raise the power for Puducherry to 100 MW.
