Mumbai: Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt will be released from Yerawada Jail in Pune on Thursday (February 25) where he served 42 months - as a part of his five-year sentence - in the 1993 Mumbai serial bomb blasts case.

It was learnt that Dutt's family members including wife Manyata will meet the legal team to finalise tomorrow's plan for smooth release of Dutt from the jail.

After his release, Dutt is likely to use a chartered plane to travel to Mumbai. Two time slots including 10.30 am and 11.30 am has been booked for the chartered flight for security reasons and to avoid media who will be there to cover his release.

Once the actor lands in Mumbai, he will offer obeisance at the Siddhivinayak Temple and prayers at his mother and late actress Nargis Dutt's grave.

His remission days were calculated in accordance with rules and jail manual. He will be carrying with him Rs 440 he earned during his jail stay.

Meanwhile, a social activist Pradip Bhalekar has filed filing a PIL against his early release. The PIL alleges special treatment for the actor.

However, Dutt's legal team says fresh PIL against the actor won't affect his release.
