Achutha Menon birth centenary fete

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: C Achutha Menon Study Centre is organising a one-year-long birth centenary celebration of Communist leader and parliamentarian C Achutha Menon, which will begin on January 10, 2012. The draft of the programme was prepared by an executive committee headed by C K Chandrappan. Initial works have begun on releasing a stamp and establishing a statue of Achutha Menon in Thiruvananthapuram. Another event planned is the release of six new books. A national seminar, discourse series, debates with students, writing competitions, medical camps, photo exhibition etc are also planned.
