CHENNAI: Every day, visually-challenged Marimuthu commutes from Madhavaram to Devar Nagar in Mogappair by MTC bus to work at a fabric whitener manufacturing company, fighting all odds. But, the 27-year-old had a harrowing experience on Thursday that he may never forget in his life. He was almost lost in the midst of the traffic chaos at Anna Nagar.As direct access to Thirumangalam junction on Jawaharlal Nehru Road has been blocked for vehicles proceeding from Padi grade separator, he alighted in one of the interior roads like other passengers. After he lost track of his usual route and bus stop, he began to roam around in the vicinity hoping to locate his company. Sadly, the hapless youngster could not locate it and sought the help of a two-wheeler rider.“My desperate search to locate my company went in vain due to the traffic chaos in every nook and corner. So, I decided to return to my hostel, after moving within Anna Nagar for about one and half hours,” he said. Thereafter, he reached the 16th Main Road with the assistance of a motorist and boarded a bus to his hostel. “I should start early tomorrow to reach office on time,” he bid adieu before boarding the bus.
