60-year-old beggar dies due to heat stroke

A 60-year-old man died of heat stroke in Lekhari town in Kota, police said.

Bholanath Yogi, resident of Vrindavan in Uttar Prasesh, collapsed on the road and died instantly, SHO Lakheri Police Station Rakesh Meena said. Yogi used to meet his ends by begging in the city, he said.

The post-mortem was conducted on Wednesday and doctors at the Community Health Centre confirmed heat stroke as the reason of death, he added.

Kota has been reeling under intense heatwave with mercury shooting upto 45.3 degree Celsius.
