The victim, Swaleen was run over by the jeep of Dubaulia station officer on Monday evening when he had gone to the market, police said on Tuesday.
The jeep driver and the SO fled from the spot after which the agitating locals blocked the road demanding their arrest. The blockade was lifted after the circle officer assured the protesters that an FIR will be lodged against the SO.
