BANGALORE: A 24-year-old man was arrested for allegedly killing his friend and later concealing the body inside a massage parlour situated in Sanjaynagar police station limits. The deceased was identified as Satish (23), a native of Sullia at Dakshina Kannada, who was earlier working in the massage centre, where the body was discovered. He was allegedly murdered by his friend Kusumadhara hailing from Sullia, Dakshina Kannada.The incident came to light on October 19, after the building owner sensed a foul smell emanating from the closed massage centre on Sanjayanagar Main Road. The owner informed the centre’s manager Vittal Gowda, who then reported it to the centre’s owner Harris. After the body was discovered inside a room in the massage centre, the Sanjaynagar police was informed.Both Satish and Kusumadhara were friends and had studied together in a primary school at Sullia. Kusumadhara was earlier working at a bakery in the city and later returned to Sullia. He was presently unemployed and had come to the city to see his brother. Whenever he visited the city, he also met his friend Satish, the police said.On October 12, Kusumadhara had come to take a ceiling fan from Satish. Satish took Kusumadhara’s mobile phone and accidentally dropped it. Frustrated over this incident, the he picked up a fight with Satish. After a heated argument, he attacked Satish with the ceiling fan and killed him on the spot. In order to conceal the body, Kusumadhara hid it inside a room in the massage centre and also ensured that he left no clues. He then returned to his native place.
