DEOGARH: Deogarh Police arrested two persons faking as officials of Orissa Primary Education Programme Authority (OPEPA) and collecting money from primary schools in Tileibani block on Tuesday. The accused have been identified as Subhranshu Panda (31) and Rohit Kumar Gartia (29), both of Balangir. Police seized the MUV in which they were travelling and the driver has been detained for interrogation. Reports said the imposters visited Asannali Primary School and told the teachers that there were complaints against them over irregularities in MDM and managed to collect ` 5,000 from the teachers promising leniency. Later they went to Jhaliamara Primary School in the block where their luck ran out as the teachers informed the police suspecting foul. A case has been registered.
