New Delhi: At least 19 soldiers were injured in a massive IED explosion triggered by militants in Rajbagh area of Srinagar on Friday.
Militants triggered the 20-kg IED, planted by the roadside, at around 0700 hours targeting an Army convoy.
News agency PTI quoted Army sources as saying that the convoy was on its way from Haft Chinar to Badami Bagh cantonment.
A bus was also damaged in the explosion.
Of the 19 soldiers injured, only three personnel received splinter injuries while others were injured due to impact of the blast.
No militant outfit has claimed responsibility for the attack so far.
