A 14-year-old girl was gangraped by her neighbour and his friend, following which the accused have been arrested, police said on Wednesday. The incident happened on Monday night when one of the accused, Vipin, entered the victim's house who was alone at that time, TP Nagar Police Station in charge Ranvir Singh Yadav said.
Vipin asked the girl to accompany him to his house for some work, to which she agreed, Yadav said, adding, Vipin's accomplice Tote alias Ishwar was also present at the residence.
The duo then gangraped the girl and kept her in hostage till the next day, he said. The accused left the victim outside her house on Tuesday. The girl then narrated her ordeal to her parents, following which a complaint was filed against the two accused.
The girl has been sent for medical examination and the accused have been arrested, Yadav said. However, the accused have admitted their friendship with the girl but denied the rape, he said.
