CHENNAI: A post-Bakrid outing to the Puzhal turned tragic for a family, as three children went missing in the reservoir on Tuesday. While the body of a 12-year-old girl was recovered, rescue workers are continuing their search for her two six-year-old cousins. According to police, Khader Bhasha of Old Washermenpet, Mohammed Shader of Anna Nagar (East) and their families, were at their brother, Mohammed Nazir’s house in Shanmugapuram for Bakrid celebrations. Around 3 pm on Tuesday, all of them went to the Puzhal lake for a dip. Even as the elders were chatting, they noticed that Nazir’s son Mohammed Ashiq (6), Kader Bhasha’s son Mohammed Riswan and Shadder’s daughter Sharmila (12), were missing. Following a frantic search for the missing kids, they lodged a complaint with the Ambattur police.
