Trisha Files Defamation Case Against Ex-AIADMK Leader AV Raju, Demands Unconditional Apology

Actress Trisha has filed a defamation case against ex-AIADMK leader AV Raju for making “slanderous or defamatroy” comments against her. On Thursday, Trisha took to her X (formerly known as Twitter) handle to share the same. She shared screenshots of her complaint against the politician. She demanded an unconditional apology from Raju and threatened to take legal action against him.

For the unversed, Raju made a shocking claim during a recent press conference. He claimed that Trisha was brought to a resort after an MLA insisted for it. She was called in for a particular amount of money.

Later, Trisha also reacted to Raju’s comments and called it “disgusting”. “It is disgusting to repeatedly see low lives and despicable human beings who will stoop down to any level to gain attention. Rest assured necessary and severe action will be taken. Anything that needs to be said and done henceforth will be from my legal department,” she wrote on her X handle.

Several others including Tamil actor Vishal also extended support to Trisha and slammed the former AIADMK leader. Vishal called the politician a ‘stupid idiot’ and said, ” I will not mention your name nor the name of the person you targeted because I know you did it for publicity. I definitely will not mention names because we are not just good friends but also mutual co artistes in the film fraternity. I wish and hope that the women in your house welcome you back home after what you have done, if they even have a conscience, even if you don’t have one,” Vishal said.

Trisha’s controversy with the former AIADMK leader comes months after actor Mansoor Ali Khan also made an insensitive comment against her. However, Khan expressed regret and apologised for his statement after he faced a massive backlash from everyone.
