Strangely as it sounds, the name "Bubble and Squeak" comes from the sounds the food makes while its cooking. It's a nice meal when you have all these leftovers and don't know what to do with them. Serves 1Cooking time: 20 minutes
Pre-boil the cabbage in a pot for 15 minutes.
Let the butter melt in a pan on a low to medium heat.
Chop the onion into fine pieces and fry them until they appear clear in color.
Add the cabbage to the pan and let it warm through.
Add the mashed potatoes to the pan.
Mix everything together. Use your spatula and gently press down so that the mixture turns into a pancake shape. Turn it over and gently flatten that side down.
Serve on a plate, cut into pieces, and enjoy.
