Ready to take your drawing skills to the next level? A simple pyramid is a great way to get started. Although this shape is 3-dimensional, it's a lot easier to sketch than you might think. We've outlined everything you need to know, so you can get right to sketching.
Choose the size of the front of your pyramid.
For instance, it might be 5 by 5 cm (2.0 by 2.0 in).
Draw a line at the base of your pyramid.
Sketch the 5 centimeter (2.0 in) line. Using your compass, measure from the point to the pencil at 5 centimeter (2.0 in).
Sketch part of a circle.
Put your compass at one end of your baseline. Doing this, draw part of a circle. Repeat with the other end of the baseline. Doing this, you should have both lines crossing in the middle. This part is difficult, but don't worry.
Connect the baseline and the cross together.
You should end up with a triangle.
Erase some of the lines.
Rub out the lines you used in part 3.
Draw an extension to one side.
To one side, draw an extension like another side like in Fig.3. Make sure the baseline of that side is above the first baseline you drew.
