Hollywood celebrities Jennifer Garner and Reese Witherspoon have been BFFs for years now. At a time when actresses are usually pitted against each other and it is assumed that they cannot be friends, the two have proved otherwise, breaking all stereotypes and surprising all with their strong bond and connection. In regard to being the support system for each other to being together during each other’s ups and downs, Jennifer Garner recently opened up about finding Reese Witherspoon by her side during a tough moment in her life.
The “13 Going on 30” actress, in her recent panel discussion at Hello Sunshine’s Inaugural SHINE AWAY event in Los Angeles on Saturday, spoke on how the trailblazing producer was there during one of the “very public and hard moments of the life.” Hello Sunshine is the media company co-founded by Witherspoon that recently produced the Garner-led AppleTV+ miniseries, The Last Thing He Told Me.
Without revealing any details of the difficult moment that she was referring to, Garner, 51, was all praises for the 47-year-old producer and appreciated for her consistent support.
Notably, both Garner and Witherspoon were on the panel along with Mindy Kaling and Fortune Feimster. Referring to the time when she was pregnant, the actress said, “This one (Witherspoon) was sitting next to me. I think back to going through a very public, very hard moment in my life. She was right there and the way I needed to get through it was dance cardio.”
The actress further also recalled that she did hard cardio that resulted in Witherspoon breaking her leg, however, she still kept going. “It was like, OK, we worked out at 7 on vacation, we’re going to work out again at 2. Reese was like, ‘I’m going to be there, I’m going to be there,” she added.
For the unversed, Jennifer Garner married Ben Affleck in 2005 and the two divorced in 2018. They share three kids, daughters Violet and Seraphina and son Samuel.
Garner thanks Reese Witherspoon for her support
Elsewhere during the panel, Garner further thanked Reese Witherspoon for support as a mother. Recalling how the ‘Legally Blonde’ star always looked out for her and her kids, Garner said, “She’ll also look at you and say, ‘OK, you need to be finding a preschool. This kid is 2 and a half and they need to start next month.”
Garner also opened up on how Witherspoon had provided a space for her and other actresses to be able to speak freely without being watched.
