Some reports claimed Ronaldo-Real Madrid transfer soap opera is on.

New Delhi: CR7 has once again reiterated his desire to stay at Old Trafford amidst more rumours that he could be heading to the Bernabeu.

Reports were rife on Friday in certain sections of the English and Spanish media claiming that the Cristiano Ronaldo-Real Madrid transfer soap opera is alive and kicking.

This, however, has only prompted the Portuguese to come out and reaffirm, for the umpteenth time, that for now, he is happy not only at Manchester United, but in the Premier League.

"At the moment, I am happy here and believe I am at the correct club," he told Setanta Sports programme, ‘Friday Football Show’.

"I like playing at United and I want to win more trophies. It will be difficult but we are going to try and win five titles this season," he added.

Many had believed that the lack of protection from the referees in England would drive him to Spain, but Ronaldo was full of praise for the competitive nature of the league.

"It is not by chance that we have three English clubs in the semi-finals of the Champions League," he trumpeted. "In my opinion, this is because the Premier League is the most competitive and toughest league, and one that has the best players."
