Moscow: Former Manchester United forward Louis Laurent Saha has joined Sunderland on a one-year deal, the club said on Thursday.
Saha, 34, spent the latter half of last season at Tottenham Hotspur on a six-month deal after joining as a free agent following four seasons with Everton, during which he scored 35 times in 115 appearances.
"Louis Saha has put pen to paper on a one-year deal with Sunderland," said the club on official twitter page.
He has so far played in the English Premier League for a total of 13 seasons since a year on loan with Newcastle United in 1998-99.
Saha also scored 42 goals in 124 matches for Manchester United during five seasons from 2003 to 2008. He made his debut for France in 2004 and amassed 20 caps. He part of the team that reached the 2006 World Cup final.
