New Delhi: The Brazilian football team has arrived in London to play a friendly against England at the newly rebuilt Wembley Stadium on Friday.

For Brazil, Kaka and Ronaldinho will feature in the midfield against an England side that will see the return of David Beckham after a year.

The old Wembley with its twin towers was home to the England team and hosted every one of their matches in the 1966 World Cup, including the famous 4-2 extra-time win over West Germany in the final.

With Beckham and striker Michael Owen also making a comeback after a yearlong absence through injury, the match promises to a grand affair.

Beckham has been recalled in the squad for the first time under coach Steve McClaren, who dumped him after the 2006 World Cup in Germany.

England have defeated Brazil only thrice in 21 games since 1956. The last time they beat Brazil was seven games ago in 1990.

The last time the teams met was in the quarter-final of the 2002 World Cup where England lost 1-2 with Owen being the scorer for England.

It took more than six years to replace the old stadium at a cost of 800 million pounds ($1.57 billion), which easily makes it the most expensive stadium ever built.
