Railway Recruitment Board Invites Applications For 9,000 Technician Posts
Reports indicate that out of the 9,000 available job positions, 7,900 are for Technician Grade III signal, and 1,100 are for Technician Grade I signal.

The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has unveiled 9,000 job openings for the position of Technician. The application procedure is scheduled to begin today, i.e. March 9. Detailed vacancy information will be made available on all RRB websites simultaneously.

RRB Recruitment 2024: Application Fees

General category candidates will need to pay an application fee of Rs 500. But for SC/ST, Ex-servicemen, PwBD, Females, Transgender, Minorities, or Economically Backward class candidates will only need to pay Rs 250 as the application fee.

RRB Technician Recruitment 2024: Educational Qualification

Candidates interested in technician roles in Railways must have completed 10th grade and an ITI course in the relevant trade from an NCVT/SCVT-recognized institute. For further details, visit the official notification.

RRB Technician Recruitment 2024: Age limit

Candidates aged between 18 and 36 years are eligible to apply for the Technician Grade I signal position. For the Technician Grade III role, applicants should be between 18 and 33 years old. Reserved category candidates can avail of relaxation in the maximum age limit as per the rules specified by the Railway Recruitment Board.

RRB Technician Selection Process

The recruitment process for the technician position in Railways will consist of three stages:

Computer-Based Test-I (CBT- I)

Computer-Based Test-II (CBT- II)

RRB Technician CBT-I Exam Pattern

The Technician CBT-1 exam will consist of 75 questions encompassing Mathematics, General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Science, General Awareness, and Current Affairs. The exam duration will be 60 minutes. Alongside, there will be a deduction of 1/3 mark for each incorrect answer.
