Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (MUHS) has released the schedule for MBBS Final Year Exam 2020 on its official website https://www.muhs.ac.in/.According to the latest notification, MUHS MBBS final year exam 2021 will be held from March 8 onwards. Earlier, the MUHS MBBS final year exam 2021were scheduled to be conducted on February 24, 2021.However, they gotdelayed by two weeks owing to a spike in Covid-19 cases. The MUHS 2021exam will be conducted in offline mode. Students can check the official notification here.
The varsity has also released the notification for Winter 2020 practical re-exam for all the courses. According to the official statement, only those students who tested COVID positive before the scheduled date of their practical exam are eligible to apply for Winter-2020 practical re-examination. Such students may send an application to the Controller of Examinations of the University through email to avail this one-time facility of practical re-examination on the ground of their health condition. Applications will be accepted within three days from the date of the practical examination.
The varsity will conduct the paper by ensuring the safety of the students. Separate rooms will be provided to the final year students and only asymptomatic students will be allowed inside the exam premises. The exam officials will ensure that the social distancing and other safety guidelines are followed by each of the student.
Meanwhile, a report published by India Today suggests that several students and parents are not in the favour of offline examinations and hence, they are demanding the exams to be conducted online. As Maharashtra is witnessing a surge in the number of COVID-19 cases, many of the students are also undergoing treatment and some of them are in quarantine.
On Monday, a group of students have approached the Minister of Medical Education, Amit Deshmukh, and Cabinet Minister Aaditya Thackeray to raise their issue.
