The application fee for the JSSC Stenographer Recruitment 2024 is only Rs 100 for the General, OBC and EWS candidates.

The Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC) has released the notification for the Jharkhand Secretariat Stenographer Competitive Examination 2024 for 455 vacancies.

The JSSC 2024 notification was released on August 14, 2024, and the online applications will begin the next month, September 6, 2024. The candidates can apply online for the JSSC stenographer vacancies from the official website, Jssc.nic.in.

The last date to apply online is October 5, 2024. The candidates can also make changes to their application form from October 7 to 10 2024. The exam date will be notified afterwards by the commission.

Application fee-

The application fee for the JSSC Stenographer Recruitment 2024 is only Rs 100 for the General, OBC and EWS candidates. The application fee for the SC and ST candidates is Rs 50. The candidates have to pay the fee online.

Vacancies

There are 455 vacancies, and 182 posts are reserved for unreserved category candidates.

118 posts are reserved for the ST candidates.

45 posts are reserved for the SC candidates.

37 posts are reserved for the extremely backward class, while 27 posts are reserved for the backward class and 45 for the economically weaker section.

Eligibility Criteria:

For the position of a stenographer, candidates should be a graduates in any subject and should be skilled in stenography.

Age limit- The minimum age limit is 21 years while the maximum age limit is 35 years. Reserved categories will get relaxation in the maximum age limit.

The selection process of the JSSCE 2024 includes-

Medical examination

The exam pattern for the 1st paper of the JSSCE 2024:

The examination will be of 3 hours. The questions related to four subjects will be asked in this paper. The details are given below-

Knowledge of the Hindi language – 25 questions (75 marks)

Knowledge of the English Language- 25 questions (75 marks)

General studies- 25 questions (75 marks)

Reasoning and Mental Ability Test- 25 questions (75 marks)

There will be a total number of 100 questions. It is mandatory to obtain 30% marks in the first paper. The exam pattern for the second paper of will consist of a local language test of 300 marks and the candidate here also will have to score 30% marks. A merit list will be prepared by combining the marks of both papers.
