The Indian Institute of Technology-Patna (IIT-P) is accepting applications for its three-year hybrid online undergraduate programs. These programs offer Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) and BSc (Hons) in computer science and data analytics for the academic session 2024-25. The deadline for submitting online applications is April 15. AK Thakur, the Academic Dean of IIT-P, stated in an interview that the undergraduate programs are designed for Class XII graduates, who sought IIT-level education but couldn’t qualify through JEE (Advanced). He also highlighted the importance of the hybrid mode of instruction for the given courses. It enables students from other programs such as BTech to improve their skills alongside their regular studies.
Admission to undergraduate courses at IIT Patna will require JEE Main, CUET, SAT (US), KVPY, State Level Entrance Test, and IIIP-SAT scores. These courses are part of the education initiative. The business management course adheres to standards established by ICAI, ICSE, ICMA, ACCA, CPA, NSE, and other organisations.
Candidates interested in the BSc (Hons) Computer Science and Data Analytics course must have completed their 12th grade with a Science background. For the BBA program, applicants from any stream are eligible. In addition, candidates must submit scorecards from exams like JEE Main/Advanced, NEET, CUET, and BITSAT, or have KVPY/NTSE/INSPIRE scholarships. Candidates are required to pass exams such as the US (SAT-I/SAT-II), UK (BMAT), or IITP-SAT.
IIT Patna is an autonomous institute. It has the status of Institute of National Importance by the Government of India. It was established on 6 August 2008 through an Act of the Parliament of India. It achieved 66th rank in the NIRF Ranking 2023. Its rank was 59th in the NIRF ranking 2022.
