The National Testing Agency (NTA) is expected to announce the CSIR University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (CSIR UGC NET 2024) results soon. The answer key was issued on August 9 and the last date to raise objection was August 11. While NTA has yet to declare the exact time and date of the results, it is expected to be out anytime soon.

Once out, candidates who took the exam can check their results on the official website at csirnet.nta.ac.in. The exam was held on July 25, 26, and 27, 2024 in two shifts — from 9 am to noon and from 3 pm to 6 pm. Around 2,25,335 students appeared in the Computer Based Test (CBT) which took place across 348 examination centres in 187 cities nationwide.

A minimum of 33 per cent is needed for General, EWS, and OBC candidates to qualify for both fellowship and lectureship.While SC, ST and PwD category candidates must secure at least 25 per cent of the minimum percentage to be eligible for both JRF and Assistant Professor and Lectureship positions.

The examination consists of five papers which include life sciences, chemical sciences, mathematical sciences, physical sciences, and earth sciences. Each paper carries 200 marks. For every correct answer students will get four marks and a negative marking of 0.5 marks will be deducted in case of wrong answers.

CSIR UGC NET 2024 Result: Steps To Check

Step 1: Visit the official NTA website at csirnet.nta.nic.in.

Step 2: Look for the link to download the CSIR UGC NET 2024 result.

Step 3: Enter your application number, birth date, and the security code shown in the picture on the provided webpage.

Step 4: Click on ‘Login’.

Step 5: The result will appear on the screen.

Step 6: Download and save the scorecard for further use.

After downloading the result, candidates must cross-check all the details on the CSIR UGC NET result as it will contain vital details such as roll number, candidate’s name, date of birth, category, and other exam details.
