The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) is expected to release the notification for the 70th Combined Competitive Examination soon, likely between September 15 and 18. The commission has tentatively scheduled the preliminary exam for November 17.
So far, it has received requisitions for 1,100 vacancies from various departments, with more departments expected to submit their requirements. This time, there may be around 1,500 vacancies for various posts, including District Magistrate (DM) and Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP).
The 70th Combined Competitive Examination (CCE) conducted by the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) is set to open recruitment for several key administrative positions. Among the various posts available, notable positions include District Education Officer (DEO), Rural Development Officer (RDO), and Block Panchayat Raj Officer (BPRO). This examination is one of the most sought-after avenues for aspiring candidates looking to enter Bihar’s administrative services.
As per the current information, the breakdown of vacancies across different posts is as follows: there are expected to be 200 vacancies for the prestigious position of Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM), 130 to 140 vacancies for Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), and 400 vacancies for RDO. Additionally, 287 positions are expected to be available for Circle Officer (CO), with 49 vacancies in the Urban Development Department.
Once the official advertisement for the 70th BPSC exam is released, prospective candidates will be provided with a 21-day window to complete and submit their applications The application process will be conducted online through the official website of the Bihar Public Service Commission (bpsc.bih.nic.in)
To appear in the 70th Combined Competitive Examination (BPSC CCE) of the Bihar Public Service Commission, one must have a graduation degree. Talking about the age limit, the maximum age for general category candidates is 37 years. While OBC can appear in it up to the age of 40 and SC/ST can appear up to the age of 42. The age limit for women of the General and OBC categories is 40 years and for women of the SC ST category is 42 years. The minimum age limit for candidates of all categories is 21 years.
To become a DSP in Bihar Police, the physical criteria are as follows:
Male candidates from the General and OBC categories must have a minimum height of 5 feet 5 inches.
Female candidates from the General and OBC categories must have a minimum height of 5 feet 2 inches.
Both male and female candidates from SC/ST categories must have a minimum height of 5 feet 2 inches.
Male candidates from the General and OBC categories must have a chest measurement of 32 inches without expansion.
Male candidates from SC/ST categories must have a chest measurement of 31 inches without expansion.
Chest measurements for female candidates are not required for any category.
