Rajasthan Royals found themselves in a bit of a tiff when they lost their skipper Sanju Samson for 10 with the score on 67/3 in a chase of 176 to win the IPL 2024 Playoff Qualifier 2 against Sunrisers Hyderabad at the MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai. On a gripping track, Sunrisers spinners – Shahbaz Ahmed and Abhishek Sharma had brought SRH back in the game, and the onus was on young Riyan Parag, who had been in stellar form in IPL 2024, to pit his hands up in a crunch situation to take his home and to the final.
