Well Played Green Can't Wait to See You in Red': Dinesh Karthik's Witty Take on RCB's Latest Addition - WATCH
Dinesh Karthik had a witty take, reacting to Cameron Green's unbeaten century against New Zealand at Wellington.

Dinesh Karthik seems to be excited about the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) season with his side’s newest addition, Cameron Green coming into the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB).

Green seems to be in good touch as he went on to bring up his second Test century which he scored in the first Test against New Zealand at Wellington. His knock came under pressure with wickets falling at regular intervals from the other end. But Green remains unbeaten on 103 pushing the Australian’s score to 279/9 at stumps on Day 1.

Reacting to the Australian’s knock, Karthik posted a video on X showcasing his witty wordplay. He said,” Well played Green, can’t wait to see you in red.”

Green has been able to showcase his grit and determination in putting on some runs despite the brilliance of Matt Henry who finished with four wickets on the other end. His century came in at a time when Australia were under massive pressure losing their top four wickets for cheap.

DK and Green will gear up for the RCB side in pursuit of their maiden title. Green however will feature in red for the first time after being traded from the Mumbai Indians in an all-cash deal worth 17.5 crores.

The all-rounder had a fantastic start in the IPL racking up 452 runs in the season with a strike-rate of 160.28 also averaging 50.22. He also managed to pick up six wickets as well.

The addition of Green to the squad will bolster their already robust batting lineup consisting of skipper Faf du Plessis, Virat Kohli, Rajat Patidar, Glenn Maxwell and Dinesh Karthik among others.

The side has also roped in the West Indies duo of Alzarri Joseph and New Zealand’s Lockie Ferguson to bolster their pace attack.

The IPL will prove to be massive this time around especially with the T20 World Cup coming up after it. The tournament will be an important preparatory period for most of the national players as they will look to fine-tune their skills and prepare themselves as best as they can to deliver in the marquee tournament for the shortest format.

The T20 World Cup is being jointly hosted by the West Indies and the United States of America.
