Orange Cap IPL 2024 Update: Heinrich Klaasen scored just nine runs but was enough for him to climb up into the third spot in the Orange Cap standings.

Orange Cap IPL 2024 Update: Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) defeated Punjab Kings (PBKS) by 2 runs in their 2024 Indian Premier League (IPL) clash at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium in Mullanpur on Tuesday.

Nitish Kumar Reddy hammered a 37-ball 64 and raised 50 runs off 18 balls for the sixth wicket partnership with Abdul Samad, while Arshdeep Singh picked up four wickets, as Sunrisers Hyderabad managed 182/9. Chasing 183 for the win, Punjab could only manage 180/6 with Shashank Singh top-scoring with 46 not out off 25 balls. Ashutosh Sharma also remained not out on 33 off 15 balls while Sam Curran and Sikandar Raza chipped in with 29 and 28 respectively.

Klaasen Climbs Up to 3rd, Kohli Still Top

Heinrich Klaasen scored just nine runs but was enough for him to climb up into the third spot with 178 runs. Virat Kohli continues to lead at the top of the table with 316 runs, followed by GT’s Sai Sudharsan, who is second with 191 runs.

RR’s Riyan Parag is fourth with 186 runs and GT skipper Shubman Gill is fifth with 183 runs from four games.

SRH Stay in 5th, PBKS in 6th

Rajasthan Royals climbed to the top of the points table with 8 points and an NRR of 1.120. Kolkata Knight Riders slipped down to second six points and the highest Net Rate Rate of +2.518. are second. Lucknow Super Giants are third spot with 6 points and NRR 0.775 with defending champions Chennai Super Kings in fourth, with 6 points and 0.666 NNR.

Sunrisers Hyderabad remained in the fifth spot with six points and an NNR of 0.344 as Punjab Kings also continue to be in sixth with 4 points and an NNR of negative 0.196.
