These Thalapathy Vijay Fans Flew Down From Kuwait To Watch Leo In Tirunelveli
A lion cave-like cut-out was placed in Tirunelveli by the district president of Vijay’s fan club Zakir Hussain.

After a long wait, Thalapathy Vijay starrer Leo hit the cinemas on Thursday. The film has not only gained rave reviews from the critics but also has been receiving love from the fans. It has already begun breaking records at the box office. The Lokesh Kanagaraj directorial saw a massive setup erected at Tirunelveli, Tamil Nadu.

A lion cave-like cut-out was placed in the city by the district president of Vijay’s fan club Zakir Hussain. More than 100 banners were erected by the fan club around the city. Keeping the environment in mind, there were no crackers burst by the fans. The fans, however, stood in a long queue outside the theatres where thousands of them chanted slogans like “Long Live Vijay”. As soon as the ticket counter opened for the show, the cine-goers rushed in with cheers.

Vijay’s fan base is huge enough that even from Kuwait, some of his fans have flown down to the city to watch his film with full roar and celebrations. While speaking to News18, the fans said that they came from Kuwait to watch Vijay’s Leo at Ram Muthuram Theatre.

Meanwhile, hours after the release of Leo, the film was leaked online. Trade analyst Manobala Vijayabalan revealed the news of the film being released in high quality.

Leo is an action thriller which also stars Trisha Krishnan, Arjun Sarja, Gautham Menon, Mysskin and Priya Anand in pivotal roles. The film also features Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt. The music of the film has been scored by Anirudh Ravichander. The cinematography and editing are handled by Manoj Paramahamsa and Philomin Raj respectively.

Leo has also created history by scoring the biggest worldwide opening of the day for any Tamil film. The film managed to collect Rs 74 crore gross in India, while overseas the film has collected around Rs 66 crore. It has surpassed the opening of Jailer. According to entertainment tracker Sacnilk.com, Leo opened with Rs 140 crore.
