South Actor Ramki Lodges Police Complaint For Missing Property Documents

Former Tamil film actor Ramakrishnan, popularly known as Ramki, has recently complained to the Teynampet police station in Chennai, reporting the disappearance of crucial original property documents from his residence. Seeking the assistance of law enforcement, the actor, who was a prominent figure in the Tamil film industry from 1987 to 2004 with numerous successful hits to his credit, expressed deep concern over the missing documents.

Presently residing at Gemini Parsn Apartments on Anna Road in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, Ramki conducted a thorough search of his home but was unable to locate the vital papers, prompting him to file an official report. His most recent film appearance was in Custody, a movie written and directed by Venkat Prabhu.

In 2018, the actor was in the news due to a notice sent by the Greater Chennai Corporation to him for not paying property tax for his office for 13 years. According to the Times Of India report, the couple had defaulted on paying the property tax for the office which was located in Anna Salai, Chennai, Tamil Nadu.

As per the report, actor Ramki owed Rs 1.17 lakh to the corporation in the unpaid property tax. Revenue officials near the Teynampet area slapped the notice to the actor’s office.

Ramki debuted in the Tamil movie industry with the movie Chinna Poove Mella Pesu. It was a romantic drama film which was directed by the duo Robert and Rajasekar. The film starred actor Prabhu, actress Sudha Chandran and Sabitha Anand in the prominent roles. The film was a commercial success.

Ramki is known for his performances in successful films such as Senthoora Poove, Maruthu Pandi and RX100. His film Senthoora Poove which was released in 1988 became one of the highest-grossing Tamil films of that time. Ramki played the lead character in the movie. The movie ran for over 200 days in the theatre.

The actor took a long gap after 2007 and made his comeback in the cinema industry in 2013 with the horror thriller movie Masani. Then after a sequence of films, he played the supporting role in the movie titled RX100 in 2018. The film was an instant hit.
