Vijay Deverakonda and Samantha Ruth Prabhu treated their fans to their newly released film Kushi on September 1. The romantic drama was a crucial release for both the actors. Kushi did an impressive business at the box office and managed to earn Rs 70 crore within the first five days of its release. However, after Shah Rukh Khan starrer Jawan took over the theatres, Kushi’s business started to decline. Amidst this, the makers have revealed the OTT release date of the film.
A few days after the release of Kushi, the makers have now announced the OTT release date of the film. Directed by Shiva Nirvana, the film’s OTT rights have been purchased by Netflix. Reportedly, Netflix has paid a hefty amount to buy the streaming rights of the film. The digital streaming of the film will begin on either September 30 or October 4.
As Kushi received an overwhelming response from the audience, Vijay Deverakonda thanked everyone for showering love on his film. He issued a statement that reads, “You all waited for 5 years, with me. Patiently waiting for me to do my thing! We did it. Today!! Samantha and Vijay’s Kushi unravels the life of Viplav and Aaradhya who fall in love with each other during their vacation in Kashmir. However, their families oppose their love and try to keep them apart. Both Viplav and Aaradhya tie the knot to prove their respective families wrong. Later, their marriage takes a rough turn and problems emerge between the two of them.
Besides Vijay Deverakonda and Samantha Ruth Prabhu, the film also features Sachin Khedekar, Rahul Ramakrishna, Murali Sharma, and Vennela Kishore in crucial roles.
