Thalapathy Vijay is prepping to set fire to the screens with his much-anticipated Leo, which is scheduled to release next week, on October 19. According to the latest reports, tickets at a theatre in Madurai, Tamil Nadu were sold out in 5 minutes. As per reports, the tickets went on sale in the Gopuram Cinemas at 12 noon recently. On the first day of the ticket booking, they were reportedly sold out in 5 minutes. The film is going to be released in around 20 theatres in Madurai. At the moment, only one theatre opened advance booking for the screening, and the ticket is being sold for Rs 190. The rest of the theatres are expected to open bookings tomorrow and the day after.
In other news, some fake tickets were reported to be sold in a theatre in Madurai. The tickets were rumoured to be sold for a special premiere screening on October 18, a day before the official release of Leo. The theatre owners, through their social media accounts, clarified by warning the fans that they have not started selling the tickets for the film yet. The theatres tweeted, “Dear Vijay Fans. This is to inform you all that we have been notified of Fake Ticket sales in Recent Days. So, we Kindly request Everyone not to Buy those proxy Tickets, as our Cinipriya Management will not be Responsible for those Tickets. Thanks! With love, Cinipriya Complex.”

Leo is directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. The cast of the film includes Thalapathy Vijay, Sanjay Dutt, Trisha, Arjun, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Mysskin, Mansoor Ali Khan and Priya Anand. The producers of the film are SS Lalit Kumar and Jagadish Palanisamy. The music in the film is being handled by Anirudh Ravichander. Manoj Paramahamsa is doing the cinematography, while the editing is being done by Philomin Raj. Reportedly, it is being made in the budget of Rs 250 to 300 crore.
