Chiyaan Vikram's Period Drama Thangalaan Gets April 2024 Release Date

Studio Green Production House, under the producer KE Gnanavel Raja, is gearing up to release the upcoming film Thangalaan. Directed by Pa Ranjith, this period drama features the iconic Chiyaan Vikram in a leading role. Since the teaser’s debut, the film has become a trending topic on social media. The recent announcement of the film’s release date during the Pongal festivities has doubled anticipation among the audience.

Announcing the release date, the makers wrote, “History awaits to be written in blood and gold #ThangalaanFromApril2024 #HappyPongal #HappyMakarSankranti.”

In another post, the caption reads, “Adutha sambavam ready for April . Watch out for this score will be my next best for this year”. Several social media users have commented on the pictures.

Previously, the film was set to be released on January 26. Now, as the latest reports, the film is scheduled for April, this year.

Thangalaan promises an engaging period action experience, narrating a tale set between the 1870s and 1940s. The film unfolds against the historical backdrop of Kolar Gold Fields.

The teaser of the film was unveiled last year. It offered a glimpse of the film’s characters. Chiyaan Vikram appeared in a dark, gritty, and rugged look, essaying the role of the tribal leader. The teaser hinted at Pasupathy, Parvathy, and Malavika Mohanan as the star cast of the film.

The film, produced by KE Gnanavel Raja and Pa Ranjith under Studio Green Productions and Neelam Productions, respectively, features music by GV Prakash Kumar and cinematography by Kishor Kumar. Selva RK serves as the film’s editor.
