New Delhi: Satyam Computer Services on Friday posted 37.11 per cent increase in profit after tax (PAT) at Rs 397.50 crore for the quarter ended March 31, as compared to Rs 289.90 crore for the same quarter last year.
The total income of the company increased 38.12 per cent to Rs 1,778.40 crore for the fourth quarter ended March 31, from Rs 1,287.52 crore for the corresponding quarter a year ago.
For the year ended March 31, Satyam recorded a PAT of Rs 1,423.23 crore as compared to Rs 1,239.75 crore for the year-ago period and the total income rose to Rs 6,410.08 crore from Rs 5,012.22 crore.
As per the unaudited consolidated results in terms of Indian GAAP the group posted a PAT of Rs 393.58 crore for the quarter ended March 31, as compared to Rs 284.65 crore for the same quarter last year. The total income increased to Rs 1,849.55 crore for the March quarter from Rs 1,342.51 crore for the corresponding quarter in 2006.
The board of directors at its meeting on Friday declared a final dividend of 125 per cent for the financial year 2006-07.
The board has also nominated T R Prasad and V S Raju as additional directors with effect from April 20. Both of them would hold office up to the date of next annual general meeting in which their appointment would be placed for the approval of the shareholders of the company.
The audited consolidated results as per Indian GAAP the group posted PAT of Rs 1,404.74 crore for the year ended March 31, as compared to Rs 1,141.73 crore for the year-ago period.
The total income increased to Rs 6,668.36 crore for the year ended March 31, from Rs 5,125.84 crore in the corresponding period.
