Rakul Preet Singh On Whether She Was Asked To Dress Differently Post Marriage: 'Will You Ask A Guy...'
Rakul Preet Singh talked about married life during an interview recently.

Rakul Preet Singh, who recently graced the ramp as a showstopper at Lakme Fashion Week 2024, talked about married life during an interview with NDTV. Following her wedding to Jackky Bhagnani in a grand ceremony in Goa in February, she was asked whether her family advised her to dress differently after marriage.

Rakul said, “No, I have been very, very blessed with both my family and Jackky’s family. I think we in Indian society make a big deal about marriage, and I would like to say that it is a natural process in anyone’s life. Will you ask a guy to dress a certain way after marriage? Like ‘Office tum bilkul chandni wala kam pehen ke jana (Wear the most shimmery outfit to your office)’. No, right? Times have changed, and everyone does whatever they like.”

Rakul Preet and Jackky Bhagnani’s wedding ceremony took place in the afternoon at ITC Grand South Goa. The couple first got married with an Anand Karaj ceremony, honouring Rakul’s Sikh roots. It was followed by the Pheras in the evening to commemorate Jackky’s Sindhi heritage. Several celebrities including Shilpa Shetty, her husband Raj Kundra, Varun Dhawan, his wife Natasha Dalal, Ananya Panday and Aditya Roy Kapur attended the wedding.

After her marriage, Rakul took to her Instagram handle to share her official wedding teaser. The video clip featured several moments from their pre-wedding and wedding celebration. It began with Rakul walking down the aisle to get married to the man of her dreams. The two shared a warm hug before their jaimala ceremony. Later, the actress also shared glimpses of their Haldi, Mehendi and Sangeet ceremony.

Rakul Preet Singh is best known for films including Chhatriwali, Runway 34 and Loukyam. She is set to star in Indian 2, De De Pyaar De 2, Mere Husband Ki Biwi, Khiladi 1080 and an untitled film with Ashish R Shukla.
