With its blend of performance, features, and safety, the Volvo XC40 Recharge 'Plus' variant is set to make waves in the EV market.

Volvo has just rolled out an addition to its lineup – the XC40 Recharge ‘Plus’ variant.

Priced at Rs 54.95 lakh (ex-showroom, India), this sleek SUV comes with a single motor mounted at the rear axle, offering a blend of power and efficiency. Positioned below its dual-motor sibling, the XC40 Recharge E80 (Ultimate), priced at Rs 57.9 lakh, the ‘Plus’ variant promises an impressive ride without breaking the bank, as reported by Autocar.

While the E60 may miss out on a few bells and whistles like Pixel LED headlamps and a Harman Kardon sound system found in its dual-motor counterpart, it still packs a punch with features like an 8-speaker sound system, two-zone climate control, and a 12-inch digital driver’s display. Other perks include a 9-inch infotainment unit, TPMS, park assist, and a panoramic sunroof, making every drive a delight.

Safety remains a top priority for Volvo, with the XC40 Recharge E60 boasting seven airbags and an advanced ADAS suite. This suite includes lane keep assist, adaptive cruise control, cross-traffic alerts, and rear collision warning, ensuring peace of mind on the road.

Under the hood, the XC40 Recharge E60 churns out 238 bhp and 420 Nm of torque, zipping from 0 to 100kph in just 7.3 seconds. Its 69kWh Lithium-ion battery pack offers a WLTP range of 475km, making it a formidable competitor in the realm of RWD EVs.

Speaking of competition, the XC40 Recharge E60 faces off against rivals like the BYD Seal Dynamic and Premium variants, the Hyundai Ioniq 5, and the Kia EV6 GT Line, offering buyers a diverse range of options in the electric SUV segment.

With its blend of performance, features, and safety, the Volvo XC40 Recharge ‘Plus’ variant is set to make waves in the EV market, providing an enticing option for eco-conscious drivers everywhere.
