Mahindra Thar 5-door to Arrive in Indian Market by mid-2024, Here's What Brand Says
Apart from having a five-door and some noticeable cosmetic changes, the off-roader is likely to hit the market with similar features as Thar 3-door.

Ever since Mahindra’s one of the hot-selling products Thar made an entry in India, the perfect off-roader became a hit instantly. Now, the brand is gearing up to release Thar five-door, which will hit the market by mid-2024.

While confirming the news about the same, the company’s Executive Director & CEO, Rajesh Jejurikar revealed that Thar 5-door will go on sale in India by above mentioned period. He also informed that the vehicle will be built on a separate product line. It is likely to be known under ‘Thar Armada’ nameplate.

Ahead of the official launch, the SUV has been spied many times during the testing phase, revealing some of the design elements and key features.

Will Not Be Same As Thar 5-Door?

As per the latest leaked spy images, what it seems like the upcoming 5-door Thar might not feature the same multifunction steering wheel as the ongoing model. Instead, it will look quite similar to the XUV700.

The images also revealed that the SUV will also feature some noticeable changes that include a newly added grab handle on the A-pillar, an updated front armrest, a height-adjustable seatbelt, a bigger touchscreen infotainment system, and height-adjustable seatbelt, among others.

Styling

It also has been reported that customers might get different upholstery color options as well. Despite making some noticeable changes for the good, the car will still not come as a surprise in the market, except having a five-door as the company seems like does not want to make it completely different compared to the ongoing model.

Engine Options

Under the hood, the vehicle continues to be offered in 2.0-litre turbo petrol and 2.2-litre diesel engine options. Again! the brand also might drop the vehicle in both 4×4 and 4×2 options.
