Kia Motors India (KMI) has today made its official debut in Indian market at the Auto Expo 2018 in New Delhi with a new concept car. The SP concept The Kia SP Concept hints at the company’s plans to introduce a new SUV to the Indian market in future. Alongside the global debut for the SP Concept, Kia has also showcased its global range of cars at Auto Expo. SP Concept will be Kia's first car to be launched in India. At the front, Kia SP concept gets a tiger nose grill which is seen in many Kia cars.
The SP Concept's lamp design meets slims graphics and functionality through a top and bottom headlamp connected to a wide front grille. The DRLs in high-tech graphics and positioning lamps leading to front grille helps produce differentiated images during day/night.
Kia will also launch an exclusive electric vehicle for the Indian market soon.
Kia has exhibited wide range of electric vehicles, plug-in hybrids, and a range of other cars at Auto Expo 2018 – including the exciting new Stinger sports sedan. Kia Motors is looking to replicate its global success in India, the world’s fastest-growing car market.
Kia plans to launch more than 16 electrified vehicles by 2025. Kia Motors' plant in Andhra Pradesh will likely to start production by the middle of 2019.
