Delhi Airport Terminal 1 Operations Resume August 17; Check Details for SpiceJet, IndiGo Flights
Under the new plan, SpiceJet flights will be the first to transition from Terminals 2 and 3 to Terminal 1, followed by IndiGo flights.

Travellers departing from Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport should be aware of changes to terminal assignments. The reopening of Terminal 1, which has been closed for some time, is scheduled to begin on August 17, according to Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL).

Under the new plan, SpiceJet flights will be the first to transition from Terminals 2 and 3 to Terminal 1, followed by IndiGo flights. The newly constructed Terminal 1 will handle these operations, while Terminal D remains closed due to ongoing repairs following a roof collapse.

Passengers are advised to check their flight’s terminal information before heading to the airport to ensure a smooth travel experience.

In the first phase, starting August 17, 13 SpiceJet flights will move to the newly reopened Terminal 1. According to DIAL, passengers flying with SpiceJet will need to access Terminal 1 via Gate A on the ground floor.

In the second phase, beginning on September 2, IndiGo Airlines will transfer its 34 flights to Terminal 1 from Terminals 2 and 3 to Terminal 1. IndiGo passengers will need to use entry gates 5 and 6, located on the first floor, to enter Terminal 1.

Currently, both SpiceJet and IndiGo flights are operating from Terminals 2 and 3.

Upon arrival, passengers from both airlines will exit the terminal from the ground floor. Security personnel will be stationed to assist travellers and ensure a smooth process.
