Ever since the Kia Carens launched in India, it has received a positive response from both customers and critics. Now, the Global NCAP evaluated the car, and gave it a 3-star rating during the crash test for adult safety.
As per the details shared after the crash test, the vehicle has received a 5-star safety rating in child safety. It has been reported that the overall built quality has been improved compared to before, which clearly can be seen in the scored ratings during the crash test.
Here’s How Kia Carens Performed
The report suggested that the vehicle performed well during the crash test, and somehow offered decent protection for the driver’s head, providing satisfactory results on the chest, while the neck portion received some damage.
When it comes to the other occupants, both the neck and chest received good protection. The driver and passenger both had excellent and sufficient tibia protection, while knee protection was evaluated as inadequate.

Meanwhile, the company has refreshed the lineup, and has included a new addition in the fleet, allowing the customers to choose the model from 30 options. Now, the MPV is available in the 1.5 Diesel MT powertrain, flaunting the price tag of Rs 12.66 lakh (ex-showroom).
The latest range has been introduced in a fresh colour options. The list includes Pewter Olive, available in all trims, except the X-Line range. The latest addition also offers a choice of 3 dual-tone options, 8 monotone, and 1 exclusive color for X-Line.
