As per the police version, the truck driver breached the no-entry zone at high speed, resulting in the head constable narrowly escaping injury. The driver then allegedly attempted to flee by crashing through the barricades

A video circulating on social media shows a traffic police constable brutally beating a truck driver with a stick. While the police are associated with ensuring public safety, this incident in Chitrakoot, Uttar Pradesh raises serious concerns.

A head constable with the traffic police reportedly assaulted the truck driver for violating a no-entry rule in Chitrakoot, Uttar Pradesh. The truck, transporting bananas from Bhusawal to Gorakhpur, reached Patel Chowk in Karad, where the constable was stationed.

Despite the constable’s attempts to stop the truck, the driver ignored the no-entry restriction and proceeded into the restricted zone. Enraged, the constable physically attacked the driver with sticks.

Bystanders captured the incident on video and shared it on social media, where it quickly went viral and sparked widespread discussion. SP Chitrakoot Arun Kumar Singh said that the truck driver initially breached the no-entry zone at high speed, resulting in the head constable narrowly escaping injury.

The driver then attempted to flee by crashing through barricades. Traffic head constable Shiv Narayan, on duty at the time caught him and, in a fit of rage, beat the truck driver with sticks.

Singh added that after he got to know about the incident, the head constable was immediately suspended, and departmental action against him is underway. The truck driver faces penalties for violating the no-entry rule and obstructing police from fulfilling their duties.
