Mumbai Police is known for its amusing social media posts on road safety and it has once again caught the attention of many users with its latest post on helmet use.
This time, Mumbai Police drew inspiration from Amitabh Bachchan’s portrayal of Ashwatthama in his upcoming film Kalki 2898 AD.
In the latest Instagram post by Mumbai Police, a short clip features the iconic dialogue of Ashwatthama’s character, “Main bacha lunga (I will save you)”, echoing a powerful message of protection.
Mumbai Police cleverly used this dialogue to urge bikers to prioritise their safety by wearing helmets.
“Helmets to riders, Kal Aaj and Forever (Tomorrow, Today and Forever),” read the caption of the Instagram post.

Since being posted online, the video clip quickly went viral on the internet and amassed over 7,90,000 views. It not only caught the attention of viewers but many were impressed with the creative way to deliver the message.
“We got Mumbai police and Kalki 2898AD collab before GTA 6,” one user remarked while another chimed in with enthusiasm, “It’s amazing and cool idea.”
The post’s innovative concept drew comments like “Unexpected Collab” and “Kalki will rule the pan world movie.”
One user was clearly awestruck by Amitabh Bachchan’s portrayal in the movie and commented, “Amitabh sir as Ashwathama in Kalki.”

During the recent voting for the Lok Sabha elections, Mumbai Police shared a message encouraging voter participation. In the post, Mumbai Police urged citizens to exercise their right to vote as they cleverly dubbed voting as “The only Monday Blues to look forward to.” It was a playful reference to the blue ink typically used to mark voters after casting their ballots.
The witty post, shared on social media a day before the voting, served as a reminder for Mumbaikars to exercise their democratic right.
Meanwhile, the highly anticipated Kalki 2898 AD is a dystopian action film helmed by director Nag Ashwin and produced by C Aswani Dutt. Featuring a star-studded cast, including Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, Kamal Haasan, Disha Patani and Brahmanandam, the movie promises an immersive cinematic experience.
Initially scheduled to release on May 9, 2024, Kalki 2898 AD faced a postponement due to Lok Sabha elections. It is now set to hit theatres worldwide on June 27, 2024.
