No matter which part of the world you live in, cocktails are like the lifeline of any party. With new trends emerging, it is not surprising to see cocktails getting a make-over. A recent video that has hit the internet shows a unique watermelon cocktail being poured into an exceptionally large glass. When we say large, we mean truly immense, a glass that is setting a new standard for size.

The viral video shared on Instagram by Sergio from Mexico features a unique blend of two popular Mexican recipes — Agua De Sandia, a beloved watermelon water drink and Sandia Loca, also known as ‘crazy watermelon’ snack.

Sergio begins by grating the skin of an entire watermelon. He then cuts the watermelon rinds into small cubes and adds them to a pot with a flavoured drink mix of powder and water. The mixture is allowed to boil for a while. Next, he blends the watermelon to prepare the juice.

And now it gets exciting. Sergio brings out his oversized glass and fills it up with ice cubes. He then adds watermelon juice, apple cocktail, orange wine, white rum and some vodka. The prepared watermelon rind mixture is drained out in the glass. A dash of spices completes the drink, making it the star of any party. Sergio named this mouthwatering cocktail – Agua loca de sandía.
