Maggi At Rs 300? Price Of Indian Groceries In London Sparks Debate
A woman, originally from Delhi and now residing in London, gave a detailed tour of a grocery store in London.

A video highlighting the exorbitant prices of Indian grocery items in London has recently gone viral, capturing the attention of Indian consumers. In this clip, Chavi Agarwal, originally from Delhi and now residing in London, gave a detailed tour of an Indian grocery store in the British capital. She highlighted the price differences between popular Indian snacks sold in London and their prices back home.

Chavi Agarwal begins her revelation by showcasing popular Indian snacks like Lay’s chips, Maggi and biscuits. While a packet of Lay’s costs around Rs 20 in India, the same packet is priced at Rs 95 in London. Similarly, a family pack of Maggie noodles is sold for Rs 300 at the London grocery stores.

As the video progressed, Agarwal revealed the cost of other sections of Indian essential items. Paneer, an essential ingredient in many Indian dishes, is sold for Rs 700, prompting Agarwal to sarcastically suggest that she will cook chicken instead of Matar Paneer. Fruits and vegetables also reflected significant hikes. Alphonso mangoes were priced at Rs 2,400 for just six pieces while bhindi (okra) was listed at Rs 650 per kilogram. The cost of bitter gourd (karela) was Rs 1,000 per kilogram.

Agarwal further pointed out the steep price of basmati rice which was being sold at Rs 2,500 for a 10 kg bag. The video continues with a list of other essential items, all priced significantly higher than in India. Agarwal humorously concluded her tour by stating that she left the store without purchasing anything.
