Bengaluru is often hailed for its tech-savvy residents and their love for technology. A recent incident of a Bengaluru woman is garnering traction on social media. Having a tech background, she recently made headlines for seeking help in learning Python on a dating app. The woman seems to be facing some issues with coding and hence turned to Tinder to learn one of the language models. Her profile was being shared on Reddit and sparked several discussions.
Vandana, a 27-year-old woman, made her account on Tinder and sought tech-related help. She mentioned in her bio about looking for a specific match to help her solve coding issues. She shared about facing a problem related to checking out a file from a program called Perforce using a programming language called Python.
For three days, she found herself in a coding conundrum. Fortunately, the code was working well on Windows and Linux computers. But when it comes to Mac, it’s causing her trouble.
The technologist looks serious about fixing her coding problem. She’s made a rule for people interested in matching with her on the dating app: “If you can’t help with this issue, please don’t try to match with her.
Her bio said, “Looking for someone who could help me with an issue related to checking out files from Perforce using Python. I’m kind of stuck with that issue for the last 3 days. The same code works on Windows and Linux but not on Mac. Please match me only if you can help! Let time pass by discussing code rather than just asking what’s your name, what’s your native, what do you do or other similar and repetitive questions like that. I’m ready to go on a date if you help me resolve this issue.”
Several users have commented on the matter. One user wrote, “Honestly much better than those boring conversations”. Another person noted, “Dev ops enters the chat”. “I would date”.
It is not the first time that Bengaluru has displayed its love for technology. Just a month ago, a woman from Bengaluru shared about an auto rickshaw driver. She mentioned how he uses a QR code payment screen on his smartwatch. She referred to him as Namma Tony Stark. The driver had set his QR code as the screensaver on his smartwatch, making it easy for passengers to pay him.
