In Kerala, spotting wealthy individuals cruising in rare vintage cars, sports cars and expensive bikes is a common sight. Among them is Viju Jacob, the Executive Chairman of Synthite Industries, also known as the Spice King of Kerala, who is also passionate about driving modern vehicles. His social media is filled with videos featuring his collection of exotic automobiles, which includes Mercedes, BMW, Lamborghini and what not. Recently, Jacob added Kerala’s first Ferrari Roma to his impressive garage collection, which is worth Rs 3 Crore. Taking to his official Instagram account, Jacob proudly flaunted his new vehicle, by sharing photos of himself along with his family posing alongside the stylish silver car.
The Italian sports car is a four seater with two doors. It features a powerful V8 engine, allowing the car to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.4 seconds. The Roma has an average mileage of 8.9 kmpl, which differs based on fuel type and driving conditions. Inside, it has a user-friendly display with an 8.4 inch vertical screen and an additional 8.8 inch screen for the passenger, showing the car’s performance and other infotainment options. The car also features LED headlamps, a shark nose grille, LED tail lights and a low drag rear spoiler. The front seats come with heating and ventilation functions and it also has F1 inspired driving mode selector.
Sharing the post on Instagram, Viju Jacob wrote, “Introducing the newest addition to my life: the stunning Ferrari Roma. It is not just a car, but a nod to the carefree and pleasurable lifestyle of 1950s and ‘60s Rome. Its timeless design and unparalleled performance make every drive a breath of fresh Italian air. Here’s to many miles of joy, speed, and elegance.”

In an earlier interview with Onmanorama, Viju Jacob speaking about his love for cars said, “I have been in love with cars from my school days. When I joined Synthite, my father gifted me a new Fiat car. During my second year in the company, he got me a Mercedes Benz on my birthday. From then on my passion for cars has seen no end. I have used most cars in the market. Lamborghini, Mercedes s-class and SLK sports coupe are my other favourites.”
Other than the new Ferrari Roma, Viju Jacob also owns Volvo XC60, BMW 340i, Mercedes Maybach GLS 600, Range Rover Sport, BMW M2, Porsche Macan GTS, Mercedes AMG, BMW G87 M2, BMW XM and Lamborghini Urus, among others.
