India declared their first innings having scored 285 at the loss of nine wickets.

The Indian batters launched a brutal attack on Bangladesh today in the second and final Test of the series. After a long, rain-enforced interruption, the Kanpur Test resumed on the penultimate day. The hosts bundled out Bangladesh for 233 on the fourth day. In response, the Indian top order displayed an attacking style of batting from the word go. Openers Rohit Sharma and Yashasvi Jaiswal did not take much time in reaching the 50-run mark. India lost their first wicket with 55 runs on board in the fourth over of the innings. Rohit was the first to be dismissed after he was bowled by Mehidy Hasan Miraz for 23 off 11 balls.
