The Indian batters launched a brutal attack on Bangladesh today in the second and final Test of the series. After a long, rain-enforced interruption, the Kanpur Test resumed on the penultimate day. The hosts bundled out Bangladesh for 233 on the fourth day. In response, the Indian top order displayed an attacking style of batting from the word go. Openers Rohit Sharma and Yashasvi Jaiswal did not take much time in reaching the 50-run mark. India lost their first wicket with 55 runs on board in the fourth over of the innings. Rohit was the first to be dismissed after he was bowled by Mehidy Hasan Miraz for 23 off 11 balls.
India’s counter-attacking style of batting did become a much-talked-about topic on the internet. Fans shared their views on the high-risk approach and compared it to England’s Bazball.
‘England wale ro rahe honge, [Englishmen must be crying],” commented one person.

Yashasvi Jaiswal scored a quickfire half century facing just 31 balls. He became the fastest Indian opener batter to achieve this feat in Tests. Thanks to Jaiswal’s blistering batting, India succeeded in reaching the fastest team 50, 100 and 150 all in the same innings.
Yashasvi Jaiswal hit a hat-trick of boundaries in the opening over to score 12 runs. In the very next over, Rohit Sharma went off the mark with a huge six. Rohit followed it up with another six to kick off India’s innings on a promising note.
Yashasvi Jaiswal’s fine batting, eventually, came to an end in the 15th over of the innings with Team India comfortably placed at 127. The southpaw returned to the dressing room having produced a fine knock of 72 off 51 deliveries. Jaiswal’s spectacular knock comprised 12 boundaries and two sixes.
KL Rahul also showcased some terrific batting as he scored 68 runs off 43 balls. India declared their innings having scored 285 at the loss of nine wickets.
