Karan Veer Mehra, who emerged as the winner of Rohit Shetty’s stunt-based show, Khatron Ke Khiladi Season 14, is currently on cloud nine. He beat Gashmeer Mahajani and Krishna Shroff to secure the winner’s title and the trophy, Rs 20 lakh and a swanky car. As fans and his industry colleagues continue to shower congratulatory wishes on him, the actor recently sat down for an interview, speaking about Asim Riaz’s fiasco.
In an interaction with Filmygyan, Karan Veer Mehra said, “I find it very stupid. I found him a tough competition. He was so strong that he could have replaced me as the winner of the show, sitting in the position where I am now. But, he was the first one to be eliminated because of his attitude. So, I request his near and dear ones and family to bring him to mother earth, giving a reality check.”
Khatron Ke Khiladi 14 was subjected to controversy when Asim Riaz, in the first episode of the show, was involved in an argument with Shalin Bhanot. Later, he ended up disrespecting Rohit Shetty as tried to pacify the situation. Following the fiasco, Asim was ousted from the show.
The stunt based reality show featured some renowned faces from the entertainment industry including Sumona Chakravarti, Gashmeer Mahajani, Nimrit Kaur Ahulwali, Shalin Bhanot, Karan Veer Mehra, Krishna Shroff, Ashish Mehrotra, Shilpa Shinde, Abhishek Kumar, Aditi Sharma and Niyati Fatnani.
Next up for Karan Veer Mehra is a music video with Bigg Boss OTT 3 winner Sana Makbul. Speaking about the same in another interaction with The Indian Express, the actor revealed, “I have shot for a song with Sana Makbul. It is called ‘Kehna Galat Galat’. I don’t do music videos and have always shied away from them, but this one is a mind-blowing piece.”
That’s not all. Karan Veer Mehra is also expected to be entering Bigg Boss 18 which is set to premiere soon. When asked about the same by the same media house, he neither confirmed nor denied the news saying that the Salman Khan hosted show is a bigger Khatron Ke Khiladi. Adding further, he noted, “Even for KKK14, I went with the flow. Our industry is so connected, that if I go, how I fare depends on the batch. We are all so dependent on each other.”
Meanwhile, Nia Sharma has been announced as the first contestant of Bigg Boss 18.
