Khatron Ke Khiladi 14's Gashmeer Mahajani On Coping With Father's Demise: 'The Show Motivated Me'
Gashmeer Mahajani is one of the contestants in Rohit Shetty's Khatron Ke Khiladi 14.

Popular TV hunk Gashmeer Mahajani has joined this year’s lineup on Khatron Ke Khiladi Season 14, indulging in some really dangerous and unexpected stunts. While the actor has been impressing audiences with his daring spirit, he also recently opened up about how the show helped him become physically stronger. Gashmeer spoke about his father’s demise, something that left him broken and also made him go through a mental breakdown.

Recalling the tough time of his life, he said that the show pushed him forward and motivated him to regain his fitness and get back into shape. “I would say mentally and emotionally, my fiction show Gunaah helped me come out of the difficult phase. I am already stabilised because of that show because it was what I love the most, and that is acting,” he told ETimes, further adding that Khatron Ke Khiladi was an opportunity for him to come back strong physically as well.

“When you are going through emotional and personal trauma, it also takes a toll on your physique and body. You start stress eating and go out of shape, and this happened to me as well. Khatron was that big of a motivation for me. I was like, ‘I am going to do this show once in my life, and I don’t want to take the opportunity lightly. Once your physique gives up and your body goes out of shape, the transformation journey is very difficult to start all over again. Because of Khatron, I got myself back into shape, which is now easy, and I have to maintain it. Gunah gave me the emotional recovery,” he further shared.

During the conversation, Gashmeer also opened up on how he remained away from work for a couple of months to look after his ailing mother. He said, “After my father passed away, I couldn’t take up work for 6-7 months as I was caring for my mother, who was unwell. But Gunaah helped me to step away from the phase, at least during the hours when I was on set. Then Khatron Ke Khiladi took me to a different country and made him even more busy. The experience brought out the best in me. I am fully recovered – mentally, emotionally, and physically too.”
